DESCRIPTION:Coordinators: Meredith D’Amore and Pamela Huffman\nDate/Time: Sunday\, November 5 from Noon-2pm\nCost: $10 for Del Ray Artisans members and $12 for Non-members\nClass size: 5-12 participants\n(Register before noon on November 3) \nCalling all Artists\, Nature-Lovers & Plant People! Join artists Meredith D’Amore and Pamela Huffman for a native species walk at Winkler Botanical Preserve on Sunday\, November 5 at 12pm. This park—a hidden gem in our city—was established more than 40 years ago to restore the biodiversity of our native ecosystems. Guided by an experienced naturalist\, we will walk the preserve and identify the abundant native species growing along the trail. Participants are encouraged to sketch or take notes and photographs to use as reference images for artwork or just come along to learn more about Northern Virginia’s biodiversity. \nWe will meet at 5400 Roanoke Ave\, Alexandria\, VA 22311 a few minutes before noon on the front porch of Catherine’s Lodge.
