SUMMARY:Pictures at an Alexandria Exhibition at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center
DESCRIPTION:The inextricable relationship between music and art is timeless. Del Ray Artisans\, the Symphony Orchestra League of Alexandria (SOLA)\, and the Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia (SONOVA) present Pictures at an Alexandria Exhibition\, an online art auction fundraising event and concert performance. \nSONOVA will present a live performance of music selections that inspired the artwork at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center at Northern Virginia Community College*\, Alexandria Campus\, on Saturday\, May 30 at 3pm.  Tickets are available on the SONOVA website.  A digital slideshow of a selection of the auction artworks will be featured during the concert. \nThe exhibit artworks will be sold at an online auction between May 4–31\, 2026. View the art and place your bids on the auctions website. Proceeds benefit each artist\, DRA\, SONOVA\, and SOLA. \nView the Auction \n\n*Northern Virginia Community College does not sponsor or endorse this event.

You are welcome to bring lap board\, but no easels. \nWe will meet in the lobby at 7pm and be seated in the 2nd floor balcony. We’ll draw during the first half of the concert and share drawings during intermission. Feel free to enjoy the rest of the concert however you like. \nThe Saturday\, April 20th concert is On the Town at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center (4915 E Campus Dr\, Alexandria\, VA 22311).  \nRSVP in advance by emailing coordinator Margaret Wohler at wohler4@verizon.net.
