STEAM-tastic: Mandalas and Meows (Ages 6-10)

(Register in advance; drop-ins allowed, space permitting.)
Students will learn about the science and culture of mindfulness, as well as how creating mandalas can help support being mindful. In addition, they will explore how our pets keep us grounded in the present moment. For the hands-on portion, students also practice drawing geometric shapes to create their own cat-themed mandala.
The hands-on activity is for participants’ ages 6-10. Family members are welcome to attend, listen, and learn. Please contact the Youth Programs Director at youth@delrayartisans.org with any questions.
STEAM-tastic @ DRA – Come join us at Del Ray Artisans for interactive classes about Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM), taught by professionals from each field! Geared toward kids and teens, each lesson has a short talk or demonstration and a hands-on craft project.
