CANCELLED: Sculpture Workshop Using Found Natural Materials

In this workshop we will create art from materials found in the natural world. Great art can be made from natural materials such as twigs, stones, shells, feathers, seeds, shells and clay – just like the art first created by humans and other creatures.

Some objects from the man-made world such as plastics and mirrors can be used to contrast against or enhance the art and others such as thread, string, glue, and screws to hold everything together.

There will be materials and tools such as saws, drills, and scissors for you to use or you can bring your own materials and tools. Examples will be on hand of things you can make. Explore the work of artists such as Agnes Denes, Andy Goldsworthy, Nils-Udo, Richard Shilling, Chris Jordan and Benjamin Von Wong for inspiration.

Please wear a face mask and maintain 6′ of personal space.
