Painting Flowers with Cut Paper Workshop

Saturdays: June 1, June 8, and June 15 from 2-5pm (3-weekend class)
Class size: 4-15 participants

Learn how to create a beautiful flower painting using commercial and hand-painted papers.You’ll learn basic techniques to make hand-painted papers and to assemble a collage and more, so that you can continue exploring on your own. You’ll be working from your imagination to get you to that place of free exploration and expression. You’ll be encouraged to play and discover. All skill levels welcome. Must be at least 18 years old. Expect to learn about drawing, painting, collage, color-mixing and composition.

Students bring own supplies:

• Canson Mixed Media – XL series – 7?x10?, 98 lb.
• Canson Universal Sketch – Artist series 5.5? x 8.5?
• Black ink pen (one): Sharpie Ultra Fine Permanent Marker or Faber Castell Pitt Pen Fine
• Watercolor pan set (any brand)
• Watercolor Brushes: Round #8 and #10; and
• 1? Flat Brush
• Drawing pencil
• Scissor
• Glue
• Your favorite magazine with color images
