Creating Monotypes with Gelatin Plates (SOLD OUT)

The instructor will guide you through the creation of your own acrylic paint monotypes on cardstock using gel plates of various sizes.
Learn about the art of “thinking backwards” to achieve the kind of layering you would like to achieve—the first layer of paint you put down on the plate will form the background, not the foreground. During this workshop you’ll also learn how to see colors on a grayscale.
All supplies are included. Explore a wide variety of materials to use on the plate—plastic, wood, and metal found objects, fabric, leaves, etc.—and find which results resonate the most for you.
