Workshop: Freaky Batiky Fused Glass Bowls (Sold out!)

Learn how to make glass bowls reminiscent of batik silk fabric! This “batik” method of fusing glass was developed originally by artist Lena Beckeus. These bowls are “freaky” because they are so easy and fun to make! Students will work with contrasting colors of glass powder, carving tools, and stencils. All supplies are provided.

The instructor will take the pieces home to be fired in the kiln – two firings are required to make a finished bowl. Students return on Friday, January 24 to see their beautiful creations and discuss the results.
