To be a part of this effort\, join the committee on the third Saturday morning of every month: \n\nMay 21\, 9-11:30am\nJune 18\, 8-10:30am (starting at 8am!)\nJuly 16\, 8-10:30am (starting at 8am!)\nAugust 20\, 8-10:30am (starting at 8am!)\nSeptember 17\, 9-11:30am\nOctober 15\, 9-11:30am\n\nBring gloves\, knee pads (if desired)\, and laughter. Even if you don’t know what a weed is\, we can teach you. Volunteer for 1 hour or the whole 2.5 hours. If you have any questions\, please email Kurt and Jenny at Gardens@DelRayArtisans.org. \nMEMBERS: This task counts towards your annual membership volunteer hours. \nNON-MEMBERS: You are welcome to come help and learn too. \nThank you for your volunteer time! \nNOTE: All plantings and transplantings must be approved by the Garden Committee. The Garden Committee approval is important to make sure the plants that get chosen are great for nature\, located properly for the right amount of sun or shade\, don’t conflict with other plants or facility needs\, and fit into the overall garden plan with maintenance in mind.

SUMMARY:Benefit Concert for Friends of ROAM
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Del Ray Artisans gallery on Friday\, September 20 at 8pm for an evening of local music to benefit the Friends of ROAM featuring Jones Point with Modern Relics and The Derds! \nFriends of ROAM is a volunteer-run\, Del Ray-based organization that helps community youth access music lessons that might otherwise be unavailable to them due to costs. Since 2011\, Rock of Ages Music’s (ROAM) private instruction\, “rock school” ensembles\, and summer camp programs have enriched the lives of hundreds of local students\, creating new music fans and building a supportive arts community. Friends of ROAM works to make sure more local kids have a chance to reap these benefits. \nTo read more about Friends of ROAM\, check out their website at www.friendsofroam.org. \nEnjoy live music\, meet local artists\, and help Friends of ROAM bring music to kids’ lives! \nThis concert is free for the community\, but the suggested donation is $10.
