DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Victoria Walchak\nDate/Time: Saturday\, May 6\, 6-8pm\nCost: $30 Teen / $45 Adult Del Ray Artisans member / $55 Adult Non-member\, plus a $10 supply fee\nClass size: 10-20 participants\n(Register by May 2) \nHoney\, I shrunk the art!! Join in for a teen focused\, family friendly hands on Shrinky Dinks Charms workshop. participants will create designs on shrinkable polystyrene\, heat them until they shrink to about a third of their original size\, and then glaze them with a UV resin. These can then be made into backpack charms\, keyrings\, earrings\, necklaces\, bracelets and more! Small works bring big fun! \nParticipants will create miniature works of art using shrinkable polystyrene and use jewelry findings and small hand tools to craft small personal art objects. DESCRIPTION:Register Now \nDel Ray Artisans invites young campers ages 8-12 years old to Art Camp to spend a week creating art with professional local artist instruction. Students will have an immersive creative journey\, including painting\, sculpting\, journaling\, and STEAM-tastic activities that celebrate science and art. During nice weather\, kids will have outdoor time to get fresh air\, unwind\, and replenish their creative energy. All artist supplies are provided. Students must bring their own lunches. Thank you to MCD Mateos McDonald’s for their generous donation of cookie treats on the last day of each camp. \nChoose Week One (July 13–17) or Week Two (July 20–24).\nCamp runs Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm.\nFor Ages: 8-12 (class size limited to 15 children per week)\nCost: $350 per child\nScholarship support is available; contact Gallery@DelRayArtisans.org for an application. \n \nArt Camp will be at the Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Colasanto Center\, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue\, Alexandria\, VA 22301.
