You’ll explore life on Earth from the cells to ecosystems. Then\, you’ll use acrylic pouring to create colorful\, abstract paintings that look like cells\, plants\, or biomes. Wear clothes that can get paint on them. \nThe hands-on activity is for participants’ ages 6-10. Family members are welcome to attend\, listen\, and learn. Please contact the Youth Programs Director at youth@delrayartisans.org with any questions. \nRegister Now \nSpecial Guest: Himanvi Panidepu\, Miss Virginia USA 2024\, joins us to discuss her initiative called STEMpowered Leaders which works to inspire the next generation in STEM through mentorship programs and workshops with nonprofits statewide. She is a Cum Laude dual degree and minor graduate from Virginia Tech. In addition\, Ms. Panidepu is an athlete\, artist\, advocate\, model\, and trailblazer in cybersecurity\, embodying the strength of breaking barriers and embracing diverse talents. She is the recipient of the Best Impact Award at the Miss USA 2024 competition and leads her company’s Women in Tech program. \n\nSTEAM-tastic @ DRA – Come join us at Del Ray Artisans for interactive classes about Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Arts and Math (STEAM)\, taught by professionals from each field! Geared toward kids and teens\, each lesson has a short talk or demonstration and a hands-on craft project.
