SUMMARY:Workshop: Freaky Batiky Fused Glass Bowls (Sold out!)
DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Betsy Mead\nDate: Saturday\, January 18 from 10am-1pm and Friday\, January 24 from 6:30-7:30pm\nClass size: 2-6 participants\n(Register by Jan 14) \nThis workshop is full. \nLearn how to make glass bowls reminiscent of batik silk fabric! This “batik” method of fusing glass was developed originally by artist Lena Beckeus. These bowls are “freaky” because they are so easy and fun to make! Students will work with contrasting colors of glass powder\, carving tools\, and stencils. All supplies are provided. \nThe instructor will take the pieces home to be fired in the kiln – two firings are required to make a finished bowl.
