Houshiar\nDate/Time: Sunday\, July 5\, 10am-1pm\nCost: $40 Del Ray Artisans member / $50 Non-member; plus $10 supply fee\nClass size: 5-12 participants\n(Register in advance to guarantee a spot; walk-ins welcome\, space permitting.) \nCollage by Azita Houshiar\nCome to play and experiment freely\, and leave with pages started and ideas you can continue exploring long after the class ends. Junk Journaling blends the art of collage with the practice of journaling\, offering a playful\, low-pressure way to explore creativity without worrying about perfection. The emphasis is on curiosity\, intuition\, experimentation\, and discovering your own expressive style. \nIn this workshop\, you’ll learn practical techniques for collage\, layering\, and composition\, and receive guidance on using found paper\, packaging\, tags\, embellishments\, and everyday “junk” to create layered\, expressive journal pages that reflect your personal perspective and storytelling style. \nPlease bring your own journal. If you don’t have one yet\, high-quality paper will be provided so you can experiment and create during class. All other supplies will be included\, such as paper\, ephemera\, stickers\, tape\, glue\, and basic tools. DESCRIPTION:Monday\, July 6 – Friday\, July 10\n9am–3pm each day\nRegister Now \nWant to sharpen your figure drawing skills and take your work to the next level? Sign up for our 5-day Figure Drawing Bootcamp\, where we’ll dive into artistic anatomy through a combination of short and long poses designed to teach you about the structure of the human body and creating a dynamic drawing. This year’s workshop will be taught by Veronica Severini\, a figure artist and medical illustrator-in-training from Chicago. Veronica’s knowledge of artistic anatomy will guide you through seeing the figure and making intentional drawing decisions. \nEach day features two unique models\, ensuring an engaging experience\, with an hour break for lunch from 11:30am-12:30pm. \nImmerse yourself in a creative environment\, fostering both artistic expression\, learning\, and community. Unleash your creativity and join a vibrant community of local artists! \nWe’re offering a discounted weekly rate! Just $200 for DRA members and $250 for non-members for the 5-day pass. Anyone can drop-in on the day(s) they select for $55/day for members and $65/day for non-members. \nPurchase our $30 supply kit (optional)\, and we will provide a basic set you need to get started. The kit includes newsprint\, charcoal\, fine art paper\, and pastels. Keep any unused newsprint/charcoal at the end of the session! \nIf you’d like to bring your own supplies\, we recommend: \n\n50+ Sheets of Newsprint (preferably 14″ x 16″ or 18″ x 24″)\nCharcoal (Vine\, Compressed\, Thick\, Conte\, White\, whichever your preference)\nGraphite of your choice\nGrey and/or Tan Toned Strathmore or Canson Mi-Teintes Drawing Paper (for longer poses)\nRags/Blending stumps/Paper towels\nKneaded & Solid Erasers\n\nBYO easels and clip-boards! We will have a few + the personal-sized folding tables\, but they are all first come\, first serve as storage space is limited. \n*Note: No oil paint during these sessions due to fumes. DESCRIPTION:Register Now \nDel Ray Artisans invites young campers ages 8-12 years old to Art Camp to spend a week creating art with professional local artist instruction. Students will have an immersive creative journey\, including painting\, sculpting\, journaling\, and STEAM-tastic activities that celebrate science and art. During nice weather\, kids will have outdoor time to get fresh air\, unwind\, and replenish their creative energy. All artist supplies are provided. Students must bring their own lunches.
