There’s lots of creative time during this 3-hour workshopÖno need to rush\, which is one of the first lessons in using resin! DESCRIPTION:Come to the gallery for our card making party on Veterans Day (Monday\, November 11) from 4-8pm. All are welcome to this free\, drop-in\, 4-hour card making creative social party and giving event to benefit Del Ray Artisans (DRA). \nDonated handmade cards will be used to freshen up the gallery card display and for the Sunshine Committee to send to members and friends who could use a little “shine” to brighten their day. Plus\, we’ll make some upbeat cards for our Veterans on this national holiday! \nHostesses Theresa Kulstad and Karen Schmitz welcome all levels of “cardie” enthusiasts to drop-in (no registration required) and will provide plenty of art making materials\, cards\, envelopes\, and munchies. Get a good understanding of each product\, their different attributes\, and how to make the right choices in grounds and colors for the best intended application. Learn what to put under paint\, and how to layer\, create washes\, stains\, and collage! We will cover a variety of tools and techniques including the use of stencils\, paint markers\, dry media\, image transfers\, iridescent colors\, and how to create encaustic-like effects. \nThis is a great place for beginners and experienced artists alike to learn new techniques and be inspired by innovative applications.
