DESCRIPTION:Monday\, July 8 – Friday\, July 12\n9am–3pm each day\nRegister Now \nStruggling to kickstart your daily drawing routine? Dive into our 5-day Figure Drawing Bootcamp\, where we embrace art through dynamic poses and quick gestures ranging from 30 seconds to 20 minutes. Each day features two unique models\, ensuring an engaging experience\, with an hour break for lunch from 11:30am-12:30pm. \nImmerse yourself in a creative environment\, fostering both artistic expression and community. And that’s not all – at the end of the week\, showcase and sell your masterpieces during the first day of our Summer Art Market (Saturday\, July 13th). \nUnleash your creativity and join a vibrant community of local artists! \nWe’re offering a discounted weekly rate for DRA members! Just $200 for 5 days + the option to sell your work at the DRA Life Drawing booth during the market. Non-members will pay $250 for the 5-day pass. Anyone can drop-in on day(s) they select for $55 each. \nPurchase our $30 supply kit (optional)\, and we will provide a basic set you need to get started. The kit includes newsprint\, charcoal\, fine art paper\, and pastels. Keep any unused newsprint/charcoal at the end of the session! \nIf you’d like to bring your own supplies\, we recommend: \n\n50+ Sheets of Newsprint (preferably 14″ x 16″ or 18″ x 24″)\nCharcoal (Vine\, Compressed\, Thick\, Conte\, White\, whichever your preference)\nGrey and/or Tan Toned Strathmore Drawing Paper (for longer poses)\nRags/Blending stumps/Paper towels\nKneaded & Solid Erasers\n\nBYO easels and clip-boards welcome! We will have a few + the usual folding tables\, but they are all first come\, first serve as storage space is limited. \n*Note: No oil paint during these sessions due to fumes. DESCRIPTION:Del Ray Artisans gallery is closed to the public from July 8-12 in order to host Figure Drawing Bootcamp. Register for bootcamp to enhance or kickstart your daily drawing routine. Each day features not one\, but two unique models\, ensuring an engaging experience. \nJoin us this Saturday and Sunday for the Summer Art Market (July 13-14\, 2024 from 10am-4pm each day) and check out original art in a wide range of media from talented local artists. Different artists are featured each day! \nThe neighborhood First Thursday festival is still happening in Pat Miller Neighborhood Square (located at Mount Vernon & Oxford Avenues) and all along Mount Vernon Avenue from 6pm until dusk on July 11\, 2024. \n\nEvery year from April through September Del Ray Business Association celebrates First Thursday\, a Del Ray community event along Mount Vernon Avenue from 6pm until dusk on the first Thursday of the month.
