Please remember Del Ray Artisans is one of those worthy causes! \nDel Ray Artisans has been promoting art for the benefit of local artists and the community since 1992. DESCRIPTION:Spring2ACTion for Del Ray Artisans and Alexandria Choral Society now through April 24\nPractice sketching people! The Alexandria Choral Society invites you to purchase a ticket (just $15 through this link just for artists) for the PRO CORO ALEXANDRIA’S SPRING CONCERT: To The Sea on Saturday\, April 20 at Westminster Presbyterian Church (2701 Cameron Mills Rd\, Alexandria\, VA 22302). There are a limited number of artist seats available. \nMeet at 6:30pm to choose your seat in the front row and/or set up easels in the transept. The audience will watch you as you sketch! There will be a brief intermission\, and\, after the second half of the concert\, you will have the opportunity to display and sell (optional) your sketches to the singers and audience during the reception. \nTo fit with the theme of the performance\, sketchers are encouraged to add nautical embellishments (mermaid tails\, captain’s hats\, gills) to the faces they draw. If sketchers wish to receive a printed copy of the sheet music from which the artists will be performing to sketch on top of\, please contact Erica Hughes at programs@delrayartsans.org. \nArtist Ticket | Audience Ticket

DESCRIPTION:Spring2ACTion for Del Ray Artisans and Alexandria Symphony Orchestra now through April 24\nJoin Alexandria Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and Del Ray Artisans (DRA) for our collaborative Sketching the Symphony program! \nBring your sketchbook and pencils and draw the musicians or interpret the music visually. You are welcome to bring lap board\, but no easels. \nWe will meet in the lobby at 7pm and be seated in the 2nd floor balcony. We’ll draw during the first half of the concert and share drawings during intermission. Feel free to enjoy the rest of the concert however you like. \nThe Saturday\, April 20th concert is On the Town at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center (4915 E Campus Dr\, Alexandria\, VA 22311).  \nRSVP in advance by emailing coordinator Margaret Wohler at wohler4@verizon.net.
