This book explores the persons who were the inspiration for 29 artists over the past five centuries. Some are those we probably already know and others are quite surprising to discover. \nThe Creative Book Club meets on select Saturday mornings to discuss readings by a variety of authors. The club is free and open to all who are interested in keeping their creative muse flowing and connecting with other creative people. Hostess Karen Schmitz welcomes all levels of “cardie” enthusiasts to drop-in (no registration required – set a reminder in Eventbrite). \nThere will be plenty of art making materials\, cards\, envelopes\, and ephemera available. The event is open to all ages and skill levels to make artful greeting cards. Donations appreciated for any cards you make that you are taking home. Card makers can also donate “All-Occasion” cards to the gallery to benefit Del Ray Artisans. \nCard Making Parties are FUN: \n\nLearn & share art techniques/mini-demos/prizes\nNo experience needed just bring a positive “art-itude”\nMeet and mingle with new people\, artists and DRA members\nSee the new Visible Touch: A Look at Texture art exhibit\n\nVolunteers needed to help with event and clean-up.
