Unfortunately we can’t picnic together this year\, but let’s individually patron Del Ray Artisans’ frequent sponsor Pork Barrel BBQ through take out during the pandemic. \nThe Office Manager will give an overview of the ALX Promise program during the meeting. The City of Alexandria Health Department and Visit Alexandria created the program for businesses and organizations to commit to higher safety standards for employees and customers. Del Ray Artisans’ staff have been ALX Promise certified since early June. The Board encourages interested members to also be trained. \nThis membership meeting will be online through the Zoom platform. If you haven’t already\, check your studios\, basements\, closets\, attics—wherever you have stashed those old art supplies that you really thought you would use\, and bite the bullet—if you haven’t used them yet—give someone else a chance! And maybe you will find a new project waiting for you! Please bring your old supplies with you to the meeting. \nThis year\, we ask that you to take a look at what you have and see if items can be donated to Inspiration Matterz\, an initiative run by local artist and fellow Del Ray Artisans member Kelli Sincock. See below for the list of supplies needed for the prison program and continuing education [outside of jail] program. \nAny supplies not donated to Inspiration Matterz will be collected and displayed in the middle of the room.
