The rummage sale is a fundraiser for our nonprofit. Browsing is free of charge and all ages are welcome. \nVisit again on Saturday and Sunday\, July 5-6\, 8am-1pm for the huge rummage sale. Great deals on household items\, clothing\, office supplies\, jewelry\, toys\, books\, sports equipment\, handheld tools\, small appliances\, and more. Support Del Ray Artisans and go home with new-to-you treasures! \nDel Ray Artisans gallery is open 12-9pm on First Thursdays from April through September. In July there will not be an exhibit on display during First Thursday. Save the dates for our Youth Art Camp exhibits: Saturdays\, July 19 and July 26\, from 1-3pm. \n\nEvery year from April through September Del Ray Business Association celebrates First Thursday\, a Del Ray community event along Mount Vernon Avenue from 6pm until dusk on the first Thursday of the month. \nJoin the Del Ray community each First Thursday for themed activities\, a donation drive to support a local nonprofit\, and live music. The theme and nonprofit will be announced in advance\, and donations will be collected at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square at the intersection of Mount Vernon and Oxford Avenues. DESCRIPTION:Color Strips\, photo by Steven Halperson\nSerenity Gallery\, the in-home gallery of mosaic artist-photographer Nina Tisara\, will host an Open House on Sunday\, November 16\, 2025 from 4-7pm in a creative partnership with Del Ray Artisans. Twenty percent of all sales (in person and online) will be donated to Del Ray Artisans nonprofit. \nThe art may be viewed in person at Serenity Gallery\, 6408 Hayfield Place\, Alexandria\, VA or online. Please RSVP to ninat@ninatisara.com to attend the Open House. \nSerenity Gallery features Nina’s widely collected mosaics and the stunning art photography of Steven Halperson. Nina first became known to Alexandrians as a photojournalist with the Gazette Packet for her sensitive and artistic portrayal of city residents\, historic places and special events. She is the founder of Living Legends of Alexandria. \nArtist-photographer Steven Halperson owns and manages Tisara Photography. Bringing over 30 years of experience and his artistic talent to his work\, he specializes in family and business portraits and events. His portraits of Alexandria’s current Living Legends are on display in the Market Square Lobby of Alexandria City Hall. The Tisara Photography studio is located on South Washington Street in Old Town Alexandria. \nDel Ray Artisans is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote art for the benefit of artists and the community. Del Ray Artisans\, the Symphony Orchestra League of Alexandria (SOLA)\, and the Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia (SONOVA) present Pictures at an Alexandria Exhibition\, an online art auction fundraising event and concert performance. \nSONOVA will present a live performance of music selections that inspired the artwork at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center at Northern Virginia Community College*\, Alexandria Campus\, on Saturday\, May 30 at 3pm.  Tickets are available on the SONOVA website.  A digital slideshow of a selection of the auction artworks will be featured during the concert. \nInformation on the auction coming soon. \n*Northern Virginia Community College does not sponsor or endorse this event.
