SUMMARY:New Beginnings (2/1-2/24)
DESCRIPTION:New Beginnings Art Exhibit\nFebruary 1-24\, 2019\nOpening Reception: Friday\, February 1 from 7-9pm\n“Flower Gears” by Tracy Wilkerson\nThe EPA estimates that 75% of the American waste stream is recyclable\, but we only recycle about 30% of it. These creations incorporate at least half of their materials from either found objects\, recycled materials or older works of art. Meet the curator and some of the artists at the opening reception on Friday\, February 1 from 7-9pm. \nFour workshops are scheduled during this show – register before they fill up! \n\nWire-Wrapped Gemstone and Crystal Rings Workshop on February 7\, 6-8pm\nMaking Cards Workshop on February 10\, 6-8pm\nFound It – Make It – Wear It (Jewelry) Workshop on February 12\, 7-9pm\nPlaying with Resin Workshop on February 19\, 6-9pm\n\nThe art exhibit\, opening reception\, and workshops are at Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Colasanto Center\, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue\, Alexandria\, Virginia 22301.
