DESCRIPTION:We’ll be “Making Art Splash!” outside the gallery from 6-9pm. Come create a “Washington Color Rule-the-School” canvas and recreate a Gene Davis Stripe Sidewalk Painting. \nInside the gallery (open 12-9pm) get a sneak peek of the upcoming art exhibit: Drips\, Lines\, Splatters\, and Splash: A Celebration of the Washington Color School. \nPhoto credit: “Splatters on the Avenue” during Art on the Avenue 2021\, photograph courtesy of Kelly and Scott MacConomy \n\nDel Ray celebrates  First Thursday\, a Del Ray community event along Mount Vernon Avenue from 6-9pm on the first Thursday of the month (April through September). \nVisit Del Ray Artisans gallery (open 12-9pm on First Thursdays) for a peek at the art exhibit. Come to our outdoor activity (6-9pm) each First Thursday: \n\nThe theme on April 21\, 2022 (postponed from April 7 due to the weather) is Books on Parade! Del Ray Artisans along with Upcycle invite you to join us for First Thursday for this fun upcycled paper project. Choose to make a feather or flower from craft paper\, book pages or old comic books. Plus see the Second Life art exhibit featuring art made with at least 50% recycled materials!\n\nThe theme on May 5\, 2022 is Dog Days in Del Ray.
