DESCRIPTION:Photograph caption: Jenny Nicholson demonstrating during Art on the Avenue 2013\n  \nAlong Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray on Saturday\, October 2 from 10am-6pm\, you’ll find: Art on the Avenue\, a multicultural arts festival celebrating our community’s diversity through the arts in Alexandria\, Virginia. There will be entertainment for all ages\, art activities\, food\, and artists displaying and selling their work all along Mount Vernon Avenue. Art on the Avenue is sponsored by the Del Ray Business Association. \nArtists at Work\nDirectly in front of the gallery during Art on the Avenue\, Del Ray Artisans will present artist demonstrations\, sell upcycled tote bags made from exhibit banners\, and share information about our nonprofit organization (booths W-192 and W-193). This event is fun for the whole family\, featuring entertainment\, activities\, animal-themed vendors and\, of course\, a whole lot of adorable adoptables. \nDel Ray Artisans will have a tent with pet-inspired artwork from member artists Holly Fries (Holly’s Art Imaginarium) and Joyce Wagner (Reinvented Elegance)\, as well as information about current and upcoming events. Please stop by and say hello! \nThe block party is in the 2 blocks of Roth and Colvin Streets in Alexandria’s West End. This is a free event open to the community; well-behaved leashed pets are welcomed to attend (no flexi leashes please). \n“Cats of Del Ray III” by Joyce Wagner\nDel Ray Artisans’ Gallery Without Walls partner VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital is a sponsor of Alexandria Love Your Pet Day.
