DESCRIPTION:ChronoScape: Artistic Explorations of Time Travel Art Exhibit\nAugust 7–29\, 2026\nOpening Reception: Friday\, August 7 from 7–9pm\nChronoScape: Artistic Explorations of Time Travel is a curated visual arts exhibition at Del Ray Artisans gallery that explores the human fascination with time travel—both real and imagined. From ancient civilizations to speculative futures\, this show encourages artists to traverse the timelines of human experience\, science fiction\, memory\, mythology\, and the unknown. \nJoin us for the opening reception on Friday\, August 7 between 7-9pm to meet curator Suzan Ok Shumate and the exhibiting artists. Mark your calendar now or set a reminder through Eventbrite. Thank you to MCD Mateos McDonald’s for their generous donation for the reception. \nTime travel is a powerful narrative device and philosophical idea. It asks us to examine who we are\, where we’ve come from\, and where we might be going. This exhibit features diverse interpretations of time travel. It’s about the adventures and misadventures of some of the pieces of art which have been lost\, stolen\, looted\, burned\, and sometimes recovered. \nThe Creative Book Club meets on select Saturday mornings at Del Ray Artisans gallery to discuss readings by a variety of authors. The club is open to all who are interested in keeping their creative muse flowing and connecting with other creative people. This is a free event; donations are appreciated. Del Ray Artisans is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization.
