Representing courage\, vitality\, speed\, and independence\, the horse inspires artworks that capture energy\, movement\, mythology\, and heritage. This exhibition also reflects Del Ray Artisans’ commitment to cultural sensitivity\, showcasing works that honor the origins of the Lunar New Year with respect and authenticity. \nJoin us for the opening reception on Friday\, February 6 between 7-9pm to meet curators Morgan Parr and Annemarie Kuhns and the artists. SUMMARY:Laurel Burch Inspired Horses Workshop (Family-friendly; Register ASAP)
DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Morgan Parr\nDate/Time: Sunday\, February 22\, 10am-12pm\nCost: $10 Child / $20 Del Ray Artisans member / $30 Non-member; plus $10 supply fee\nClass size: 1-20 participants\n(Register in advance; Walk-ins welcome only if space permits) \nExplore color\, pattern\, and expressive design in this hands-on workshop inspired by the joyful\, decorative style of artist Laurel Burch. Participants will create a stylized horse artwork using bold color\, repeated patterns\, strong outlines\, and metallic accents. \nStencils and pattern references are provided\, and no prior art experience is needed. \nThis hands-on workshop is open to adults\, teens\, and children ages 7-12 with an adult – families welcome! All materials included; participants leave with a finished artwork. DESCRIPTION:Join fellow Del Ray Artisans members for the Member Meeting & Art Supplies Swap on Sunday\, February 22 starting at 6pm. \nSave the date for the first member meeting of 2026. Bring the supplies you no longer need and be ready to find a treasure in other’s discards! \nIf you are bringing boxes of supplies\, please limit to no more than three boxes. To help things run smoothly\, drop off your treasures at the start of the art supply swap; we won’t be able to accept any treasures after 6:15pm. \nWe’ll begin with a short meeting\, and then select “new to you” art supplies.
