DESCRIPTION:Second Time Around Art Exhibit\nSeptember 5–27\, 2025\nOpening Reception: Friday\, September 5 from 7–9pm\n“Amoeba Series: Party!” by Tracy Wilkerson\nMany physical items we choose to remove from our lives can be sold/given/donated to others rather than going into our world’s overburdened landfills. It takes a conscious choice to acquire items from others rather than purchasing new items at a retail store. It also takes a little effort to offer something no longer needed to others rather than just tossing it in the trash or recycle bin. The Second Time Around art exhibit at Del Ray Artisans gallery focuses on this thought-change concept of sustainable creativity and enhancing the artistic environmental ethos\, from the featured artwork utilizing recycled materials to the special workshops and events held during the exhibit. \nJoin us for the opening reception on Friday\, September 5 between 7-9pm to meet curator Tracy Wilkerson and the artists. DESCRIPTION:Organizer: Tracy WilkersonDate/Time: Thursday\, September 18 from 6:30-8:30pm (in half-hour appointments) \nDo you have a bracelet/necklace/earrings that need fixing? Maybe your piece is missing a clasp or a hook or needs to be longer or shorter. If so\, mark September 18 between 6:30-8:30pm on your calendar and RSVP. \nHere’s how it works: \n\nRegister for a half-hour appointment.\nBring in 1-3 jewelry items that need fixing. Attending jewelers work in metal so they can fix a gold or sterling silver piece\, but the replacement clasp or loop will not be in the same metal.\nYou will be paired with one of our on-site jewelry artists who will quickly assess what your item needs and repair it. If the piece cannot be repaired on Fix-It Nite\, the artist will discuss repair options with you. You can then choose to commission them to fix your piece for delivery at a later date.\nPlease tip your jewelry repair artist for fixing your item so you can wear it again!  20% of these donations go to Del Ray Artisans.\nEnjoy wearing your jewelry again!\n\nRegistration: This event is free to the public but you must register for a half-hour appointment to help maintain an even flow of people throughout the evening. \nTip/Donation: While this event is free to you\, please plan on tipping the artist who fixes your jewelry. These jewelers are supplying their materials and tools in addition to their time and expertise for this event. We ask that you tip artists in cash.
