DESCRIPTION:Lovely As A Tree Art Exhibit\nAugust 1–30\, 2025\nOpening Reception: Friday\, August 1 from 7–9pm\n“Backyard Beauty” by Robyn Seaton McGarry\nLovely As A Tree is an art exhibit exploring the ways in which trees impact our lives and this earth. Humans and animals benefit from the shade\, shelter\, food provided\, the beauty of and the environmental impact of trees. The talented members of Del Ray Artisans will bring aspects of this natural phenomenon to artistic life through painting\, photography\, ceramics\, items created from wood and other mediums that flow from their prolific imaginations. This art exhibit is a showcase for the creative members of Del Ray Artisans. \nJoin us for the opening reception on Friday\, August 1 between 7-9pm to meet curator Robyn Seaton McGarry and the artists. In this series of workshops exploring the arts\, you will learn techniques in collage\, drawing\, mixed media\, photography\, bead embroidery\, and more from local artists. DESCRIPTION:Presenter: Tracy Wilkerson\, recycledworks@yahoo.com\nDate/Time: Monday\, August 11\, 6:30-8:30pm\nCost: $20 Del Ray Artisans member / $30 Non-member\nClass size: 7-20 participants\n(Register by August 7) \nDo you like working with resin but want to get a little more creative? In this class\, we will discuss advanced resin techniques such as layering\, tilting\, building in three dimensions\, adding lights\, and more. The instructor will show physical examples of these techniques and discuss what to be aware of when using each technique. There will be time for questions and discussions during the class. This class will NOT cover resin dyes or pigment powder usage\, but will touch on other possible additions to resin (such as glitter and alcohol inks). \nYou must already know how to use resin before taking this class.
