DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Suzan Ok Shumate\nDate/Time: Sunday\, February 23\, 9-10:30am\nCost: $10/child\nClass size: 1-15 participants\n(Register in advance; drop-ins allowed\, space permitting.) \nStudents will learn about the science and culture of mindfulness\, as well as how creating mandalas can help support being mindful. In addition\, they will explore how our pets keep us grounded in the present moment. For the hands-on portion\, students also practice drawing geometric shapes to create their own cat-themed mandala. \nThe hands-on activity is for participants’ ages 6-10. Family members are welcome to attend\, listen\, and learn.
