DESCRIPTION:$100 and Under Art Exhibit\nNovember 1 – December 1\, 2024\nOpening Reception: Friday\, November 1 from 7–9pm\nThis November Del Ray Artisans is bringing back our popular $100 and Under exhibit concept from 2015\, 2017\, 2019\, and 2022 showcasing members’ original artwork\, all priced at $100 and under. The art will be sold on an art-to-go basis\, with buyers taking art home when purchased during the exhibit from November 1 – December 1\, 2024. \nJoin us for the opening reception on Friday\, November 1 between 7-9pm to meet curators Dale Spivey and Kurt Peterson and the artists. Mark your calendar now or set a reminder through Eventbrite. \nAll workshops in November are priced at $100 or less\, and some programs are free! For information on programs\, visit DelRayArtisans.org/programs. \nThe $100 and Under exhibit runs November 1 – December 1\, 2024 at Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Colasanto Center\, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue\, Alexandria\, Virginia 22301. Gallery hours are Thursday 12-6pm\, Friday 12-9pm\, Saturday 12-6pm\, and Sunday 12-6pm. Closed on Thanksgiving Day. Hours differ starting December 2\, 2024. \nThe gallery is free\, open to the public\, and accessible. DESCRIPTION:Presenter: Tracy Wilkerson\, recycledworks@yahoo.com\nDate/Time: Monday\, November 18\, 6:30-8:30pm\nCost: $20 Del Ray Artisans member / $30 Non-member\nClass size: 7-20 participants\n(Register in advance; walk-ins welcome\, space permitting) \nDo you like working with resin but want to get a little more creative? In this class\, we will discuss advanced resin techniques such as layering\, tilting\, building in three dimensions\, adding lights\, and more. The instructor will show physical examples of these techniques and discuss what to be aware of when using each technique. There will be time for questions and discussions during the class. This class will NOT cover resin dyes or pigment powder usage\, but will touch on other possible additions to resin (such as glitter and alcohol inks). \nYou must already know how to use resin before taking this class.
