DESCRIPTION:$100 & Under Art Exhibit\nNovember 4-27\, 2022\nReception: Friday\, November 4\, 7–9pm\nDel Ray Artisans is bringing back our popular $100 & Under exhibit concept from 2015\, 2017\, and 2019 showcasing members’ original artwork\, all priced at $100 and under. The art will be sold on an art-to-go basis\, with buyers taking art home when purchased during the exhibit from November 4–27\, 2022. \nJoin us at the opening reception on Friday\, November 4 from 7-9pm to meet the curator and artists and select from the first available pieces. Mark your calendar now or set a reminder through Eventbrite. Del Ray Artisans’ walls will be packed with lots of great art at prices all art-lovers can afford. \nThe $100 & Under exhibit is at Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Colasanto Center\, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue\, Alexandria\, Virginia 22301. Gallery hours are Thursdays 12-6pm\, Fridays 12-9pm\, Saturdays and Sundays 12-6pm. Closed on Thanksgiving Day. \nFace masks are recommended inside the gallery. The gallery is free\, open to the public\, and accessible. DESCRIPTION:Local Artisan Showcase at VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital\nNovember 15\, 2021 – November 12\, 2022\nPhoto Album | Online Store \nThe Local Artisan Showcase at the VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital (VCA Alexandria) features Del Ray Artisans members’ artwork. The exhibit is a part of Del Ray Artisans’ Gallery Without Walls (GWW) program in partnership with VCA Alexandria and features paintings\, photography\, and mixed media works of art. \nThe artwork is viewable online and in-person by appointment only (Monday-Saturday 8am-4pm) because this exhibit is in the exam rooms. Please contact Stephanie Frederick at stephanie.frederick@vca.com to schedule an on-site viewing appointment. The concurrent exhibit in the lobby and side hallways is available for walk-in viewing. Visitors must let the front desk know they are there to view the art exhibit. \nView the online store! SUMMARY:Art on the Avenue 2022
DESCRIPTION:Along Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray on Saturday\, November 12\, 2022 from 10am-5pm\, you’ll find: Art on the Avenue\, a multicultural arts festival celebrating our community’s diversity through the arts in Alexandria\, Virginia. There will be entertainment for all ages\, art activities\, food\, and artists displaying and selling their work all along Mount Vernon Avenue. Art on the Avenue is sponsored by the Del Ray Business Association. \nArtists at Work\nDirectly in front of the gallery\, Del Ray Artisans present artist demonstrations\, sell upcycled tote bags (made from exhibit banners) and 2023 wall calendars (featuring art from local artists and community event dates)\, and share information about our nonprofit arts organization (booths W-192 and W-193). Come visit us and see these demos: \n\n10am-Noon – TBD\nNoon-1pm – Ron Reel\, Photography\n1-3pm – Cheryl Neway\, Batiking\n3pm-dusk – Erica Hughes\, Performance art\n\nSupport Del Ray Artisans Members\, Local Artists\nMany Del Ray Artisans members are juried into Art on the Avenue.
