DESCRIPTION:Little Monsters Art Exhibit\nJanuary 7–29\, 2022\nWe all know them—the little monsters that haunt\, terrorize\, or cause us to giggle endlessly. These tiny beings emerge from fantasy as well as the real world. Come and see how artists have interpreted their little monsters in the Little Monsters exhibit at Del Ray Artisans gallery. You’ll find that little monsters can range from the dark and mysterious to the cute and whimsical. Come choose your favorite! \nJoin us on opening day\, Friday\, January 7 between 12-9pm for the widest selection of artwork. Mark your calendar now or set a reminder through Eventbrite. While you’re visiting\, be sure to check out the “Little Monster” awards highlighting outstanding artworks selected by the curator. \nSpecial workshops held in conjunction with the exhibit include: \n\nPlaying with Resin workshop on Monday\, January 17 from 6-9pm\nMonster Fantasy Soap-making workshop on Saturday\, January 22 from 10am-1pm\nSnowy Trees in Watercolor workshop via Zoom on Friday\, January 28 from 6-8pm\n\nTo attend the workshops\, register in advance at DelRayArtisans.org/workshops \nThe Little Monsters exhibit runs January 7-29\, 2022 at Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Colasanto Center\, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue\, Alexandria\, Virginia 22301. Gallery hours are Thursday 12-6pm\, Friday 12-9pm\, Saturday 12-6pm\, and Sunday 12-6pm (closed the last Sunday of the month). \nDel Ray Artisans has taken the ALX Promise pledge and is committed to the health and safety of our visitors. The gallery capacity is limited to 15 people at any one time. Face masks must be worn by all while visiting the gallery. While your freshly poured soaps harden\, you can decorate your very own gift box with a medium of your choice. Take your gift box and handcrafted scented soaps home with you at the end of this workshop. \nFace masks must be worn by all while visiting the gallery.
