The Holiday Market is open for the first 3 weekends in December: December 3-5\, December 10-12\, and December 17-19. Different artists are featured each weekend! \nThank you to the 2022 Calendar Sponsors: Homes of Alexandria Team of Compass (Ellen\, Bobi and Daniela)\, Cooley LLP\, Community Partner McD Mateos\, and Cosmopolitan Boat Club!\nThe Market offers unique handmade fine arts and fine crafts from local artists presenting a variety of media\, including fiber/textiles\, glass\, jewelry\, mixed media\, mosaics\, painting\, paper crafting\, photography\, pottery/ceramics\, sculpture\, watercolor\, wood turning\, and more! In addition\, 2022 wall calendars featuring artworks by Del Ray Artisans members will be available for purchase. Artists are donating a percentage of their sales to help support Del Ray Artisans’ mission to promote art for the benefit of artists and the community. \nHours are Fridays 6-9pm\, and Saturdays & Sundays 11am-6pm. The Holiday Market will be at Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Nicholas A. DESCRIPTION:Workshop: Playing with ResinInstructor: Tracy Wilkerson\nDate/Time: Tuesday\, December 7 from 6-9pmCost: $40 for Del Ray Artisans Members and $50 for non-members\, plus a $10 supply fee\nClass size: 5-10 participants\n(Register in advance; do not drop-in) \nLearn the ins and outs of prepping for and mixing resin\, and how to use it as an adhesive\, a covering\, or the main medium. There’s lots of creative time during this 3-hour workshop … no need to rush\, which is one of the first lessons in using resin! This workshop does not get into using dyes with resin\, or building big molds to create one-of-a-kind resined tables (as seen on YouTube) but this workshop will provide you with a good understanding of how resin works so you can be bold enough to take the next steps in your creative interests. \nAlthough the class is listed for 3 hours\, you can leave once you have finished your creations. Some students finish very quickly while others take the whole 3 hours to create – there is plenty of time for each person to enjoy the creative process while not feeling rushed. You’ll leave your finished masterpiece(s) to set at the gallery at the end of the workshop\, and pick them up during gallery hours later in the week. \nThe workshop is designed for adults. Children ages 16-17 may participate with parental permission.
