DESCRIPTION:The Naked and the Newt: Studies in Human and Herpeton Anatomy Art Exhibit\nJune 4 – 26\, 2021\n“Sunbaaaathing” by Guy Jones\nView Online: Photo Album | Video Tour \nCome see The Naked and the Newt: Studies in Human and Herpeton Anatomy art exhibit to see how artists explore the human body and reptiles / amphibians / herpetons. This exhibition investigates conceptions of anatomy\, texture\, and conservation with our partners\, the Virginia Herpetological Society\, and runs June 4-26\, 2021 at Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Colasanto Center\, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue\, Alexandria\, Virginia 22301. The gallery is free\, open to the public\, and accessible. \nReserve a ticket for a half-hour viewing during the extended hours on opening day: Friday\, June 4 between 12-8pm. Opening day tickets are not required\, but ticket holders have priority entry. The gallery capacity is limited to 10 people at any one time in order to facilitate social distancing. \nOpening Day Tickets \nRegular gallery hours are Thursdays 12-6pm\, Fridays 12-6pm\, and Saturdays 12-4pm. DESCRIPTION:Sean MacQuinor as Ice King from Adventure Time\nInstructor: Sean MacQuinor\nDate: Wednesdays\, April 21 to June 9 from 7-8:30pm\nClass size: 4-12 participants\n(Register by April 14) \nLearn the basics of animation with former Adult Swim Animation Lead Sean MacQuinor! If you have Adobe Creative Suite\, you have Adobe Animate. As one of the animation industry’s chief tools\, it is easy to use and learn the basics of professional animation. Whether you’re trying to start in the field of animation or learn the principles of motion that give character to life itself\, artists and creators all benefit from developing an aptitude for recognizing those quirks of personality or nature that turn the thousand words a picture tells into a book set across the fourth dimension. \nSupplies: Students will need to have a drawing tablet interface\, and Adobe Creative Cloud\, or at least Adobe Animate. Creative Cloud with all apps is $53/month or $600/year for adults (Adobe Animate alone is $21/month). The student price for all apps is $240 prepaid. \nThis workshop will be online through the Zoom platform.
