DESCRIPTION:$100 & Under Art ExhibitNovember 1-December 1\, 2019\nOpening Reception: Friday\, November 1 from 7-9pm\nDel Ray Artisans is bringing back our popular $100 & Under exhibit concept from 2015 and 2017 showcasing members’ original artwork\, all priced at $100 and under. The art will be sold on an art-to-go basis\, with buyers taking art home when purchased during the exhibit from November 1 through December 1\, 2019. \nThis will be a rapidly evolving exhibit\, as sold artwork is replaced each week with new work\, so visit frequently to shop. Del Ray Artisans’ walls will be packed with lots of great art at prices all art-lovers can afford. Join us at the opening reception on Friday\, November 1 from 7-9pm to meet the curators and artists and select from the first available pieces. \nThe $100 & Under exhibit is at Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Colasanto Center\, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue\, Alexandria\, Virginia 22301. Gallery hours are: Thursdays 12-6pm\, Fridays 12-9pm\, Saturdays 12-9pm\, and Sundays 12-6pm. The gallery will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday\, November 28\, 2019). DESCRIPTION:Local Artisan Showcase at VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital\nNovember 11\, 2018 – November 10\, 2019\n“Life is Good with the Wind on Your Face” by Monica Hokeilen\nThe Local Artisan Showcase at the Veterinary Clinics of America Alexandria Animal Hospital (VCA Alexandria) features Del Ray Artisans members’ artwork. The exhibit is a part of Del Ray Artisans’ Gallery Without Walls (GWW) program in partnership with VCA Alexandria and features paintings\, photography\, and mixed media works of art. \nThis year-long exhibit in the exam rooms at the VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital runs from November 11\, 2018 through November 10\, 2019. Patrons may view the artwork at VCA Alexandria during regular business hours and at the discretion of hospital staff. Regular hours are Monday through Friday 8am-8pm\, Saturday 8am-3pm\, and closed Sunday. \nAll artwork is available for purchase through Del Ray Artisans. Artists are donating 20% of the purchase price of sold pieces to Del Ray Artisans\, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. \nVCA Alexandria Animal Hospital is located at 2660 Duke Street\, Alexandria\, VA 22314. DESCRIPTION:Workshop: Playing with ResinInstructor: Tracy Wilkerson\nDate/Time: Sunday\, November 10 from 6-9pm\nClass size: 5-10 participants\n(Register by November 7; Walk-ins welcome\, space permitting) \nCome play with resin in a safe environment – learn the ins & outs of mixing resin and using it in your artwork as an adhesive\, a covering\, or the main medium. There’s lots of creative time during this 3-hour workshopÖno need to rush\, which is one of the first lessons in using resin!
