SUMMARY:Thinking in 3D Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Registration is now closed. \nInstructor: Jonathan Ottke\nDates: Saturday\, July 6 from 10 AM to 1 PM\nClass size: 4-10 participants\n(Register by July 3) \nLearn basic sculpting techniques carving in soapstone or plaster and vermiculite. You will sketch an idea to picture what it will look like; then sculpt\, sand and finish the artwork. You will learn basic sculpting techniques. You’ll use tools such as knives\, rasps and saws; then finish and polish your work. Soapstone finishes beautifully and plaster and vermiculite has a wonderful rugged look! This is a great way to start thinking in three dimensions. The supply fee will be based on your choice of material: \n\n$15 for Plaster or Vermiculite\n$35 for Soapstone\n\nWear clothing that can get messy! \n. \n\nThis workshop is a part of Del Ray Artisans’ Creative Summer Programs.
