Día de los Muertos: Del Ray community ofrenda in front of the gallery

On Sunday, November 1st, from 5pm to 7:30 pm, Del Ray Artisans will host the third annual Del Ray community ofrenda (altar) observing Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in front of the gallery, weather permitting.

This tradition allows us to reflect on our deceased loved ones to keep their memory alive. Amy Sills Eggers established this community event based on Mexican tradition in 2023 and Del Ray Artisans’ member Betsy Jones organized the event in the following year.

Amy has passed along the photos that have been collected in the past and all are invited and encouraged to contribute their own photos, notes, or small mementos to the altar to honor their loved ones – both people and pets.
