“The 2 Sides Project” Documentary (PBS version)
Sat, July 13, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT
The 2 Sides Project (view trailer) is an award-winning documentary film, now airing on PBS stations across the U.S and available on PBS online, that follows the unforgettable journey of six U.S. sons and daughters as they discover a country and a people with a shared history.
Over 11 days in December 2015, American and Vietnamese sons and daughters—who had all lost fathers fighting on opposite sides of the war — met for the first time. The film captures the entire story, not just the transformative two sides encounters, but the profoundly moving experiences these Americans had while visiting the sites where their fathers died, and the powerful encounters they had with the country itself.
Anthony Istrico, of Istrico Productions, and his team are exhibiting still photos and stories from their Vietnam experiences in Del Ray Artisans’ gallery from July 11 – July 14, 2019. During this exhibit, there will be two showings of the documentary film, followed by Q & A:
- PBS version (56 minutes) on Saturday, July 13 from 7-8:30pm
- Feature-length film (101 minutes) on Sunday, July 14 from 2-4pm
The showings are free and open to the public, but space is limited. Register in advance to reserve your seat. Donations are appreciated.
