COVID Nighthawks reimagined by Kelly MacConomy
“COVID Nighthawks reimagined” by Kelly MacConomy

Life in the time of COVID-19 this past year has created an inorganic state of a nearly lost humanity. The pervasive experiences of solitude, isolation, loneliness, longing, and reverie are a common thread in the paintings of Edward Hopper. Hopper’s iconic emblem of Post-Depression-era America and a world at war, “Nighthawks,” recalls not only the dire times of economic uncertainty but a world lost. Artists are invited to enter their own existential explorations and expressions in response to COVID-19. Make it personal—or make it Hopperesque!

After Edward Hopper: Themes of Isolation and Solitude is a Del Ray Artisans members-only exhibit. Membership has its privileges! However, if you are not a member, you may join Del Ray Artisans now.

This exhibit will have an Art-to-Go Marketplace. Entries for the marketplace are also due January 17 and DO NOT have to fit the theme.
