Ancestry. The twenty-first century has brought us the ability to look into our ancestry, race, ethnicity, and heritage in ways we’ve never been able to before. Who we are and where we come from is clearer and murkier at the same time.
The people in our family who have passed on, the places they visited and/or came from, and where we grew up, lived and loved are still important to who we are today. The Ancestry exhibit is a members-only exhibit to showcase the strength of Del Ray Artisans community, namely our cultural diversity. Artists are asked to show what their ancestry means to them and how it has affected their lives through art.
