Join naturalist/illustrator Margaret Wohler for Nature Journaling on Sunday, March 11 from 10am to noon at Del Ray Artisans’ Colasanto Center and gardens. You will learn some basic drawing instruction, natural history in the garden, and how to set up a field sketch page. Every field naturalist from Charles Darwin to John James Audubon and Maria Sybilla Merian were accomplished artists. Come connect to a historically interesting pastime and learn directly from nature through drawing! Field art kits are available for purchase. Discounted class fees for Del Ray Artisans members. Del Ray Artisans gallery is in the Colasanto Center, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22301. Gallery hours are: Thursdays 12-6pm, Fridays 12-9pm, Saturdays 12-9pm, and Sundays 12-6pm. The gallery is free, open to the public, and handicap accessible.
