Dip into some GUAC – Grown-Ups Art Camp, that is! Del Ray Artisans is pleased to present this year’s smorgasbord of classes. The variety of workshops offered will be for all skill levels and art experience. We have workshops for you to discover and inspire your creative side. You can start with drawing, painting and sculpture. Or, do you like jewelry, or working with fabric? We offer classes that give you the opportunity to make something to wear that you can take home. How about digital art? Or, in our polymer clay classes you can create a 3D work of art! Have you ever tried fused glass art? Now is the time! Do you need to develop your artistic focus? Try meditation for artists. If you’re the type that accumulates all kinds of odds and ends around your house, we have classes that range from mixed media to using recycled materials. Love nature and the outdoors? Consider our nature drawing workshop. Already engaging in art but need to focus on the “Business of Art”? Come to our workshops on tax information, websites, and other issues for artists.
GUAC runs from June 26 to July 14 with daytime and evening classes taught by REAL artists! It’s a great creative boost and a fun, interactive activity for you and your friends. Workshops are held at Del Ray Artisans Gallery in the Colasanto Center, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22301. Regular gallery hours are suspended for the month of July. The gallery is handicap accessible.
